With the mission to connect and inspire hospitality leaders around the globe through the power of unrivalled dedication to sustainable luxury, responsible travel, gender equality and education for future generations.

The Forum

Many great ideas and moments of inspiration come from through the tension of dialogue, be it in disagreement or agreement. Our forum is led by discussions between experienced voices that you are welcome to listen in on.

Sharing is caring

Some of the world’s most established industry leaders share their thoughts.

The Chapters

Whilst the Academy is a private space, its members knowledge burst into the public space through dedicated chapters of industry sectors, from architecture and sustainability to chefs and cuisine.

LEADINGHÔTELIÈRES CHAPTER

HoteliersGuild’s LeadingHôtelières Chapter is founded by CEO and President of the prestigious HoteliersGuild community, Frank M Pfaller, and co-founded by Lindsey Ueberroth, CEO at Preferred Hotels & Resorts. “When we looked at our HoteliersGuild Membership Roster, we realised that we had far too few ladies in leadership positions. Reaching out them we were thrilled to realise their enthusiasm to join our cause to ‘making a change’ ”, Pfaller says. LeadingHôtelières aims to promote gender equality by providing research, guidance, mentorship and training through a powerful network of contacts in the industry.

ARCHITECTS & DESIGNERS CHAPTER

Putting the focus on The Clean Art of Building Eco. Showcasing projects that were conceived by some of the worlds finest architects whom we are privileged to count as our HoteliersGuild supporting members. Whilst their designs are uniquely differentiating, they have one thing in common: They go the extra mile for the good of the environment, some including either geothermal or solar energy, biomass heating or natural air-conditioning by specialised ventilation systems to farm-to-table food programs. And of course, they all offer Sustainability Without Sacrificing Luxury.

Words from the Co-founder

“Individuality is at the core of the Preferred brand, and we celebrate all forms of diversity. I am proud to share that I’ve doubled down on my commitment to this key value by co-founding LeadingHôtelières, part of the HoteliersGuild community with Frank M. Pfaller, that has a mission of promoting gender equality within the hospitality industry”

Lindsey Ueberroth, CEO Preferred Hotels & Resorts

Thoughts from Matteo Thun

“The panel of HoteliersGuild is a great opportunity for our hospitality business to reflect on a few ‘post-corona questions’. Are we more philanthropic? Are we more cautious with things, people and ourselves? Are we measuring time in a new manner? Are we closer to the sense of life? “

Matteo Thun, CEO Matteo Thun & Partners

CHEFS CHAPTER

" During my entire life as a compassionate hotelier, I always admired two professions the most - Chefs and Architects. Whilst the internationally renowned masterminds behind the designs of so many beautiful hotels receive highest recognition right from the beginning, Chefs quite often stay in the shadows until they have been decorated with highest accolades. Therefor we chose to not only invite Micheline stared cuisiniers but also invite young talents to this chapter. ”

Initiatives

Celebrating black female chefs

The raison d'être of "BeyondCuisine" for black female chefs in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals lies in promoting gender equality (Goal 5) and reducing inequalities within the culinary industry in the short term. The initiative aims to create immediate opportunities for black women chefs to showcase their talents, share their stories, and inspire future generations.

BeyondCuisine, the latest culinary campaign by Hoteliersguild, stands as a powerful platform, shining a much-deserved spotlight on the remarkable talents and narratives of black women chefs. Beyond their mastery of the kitchen, these women serve as inspirational figures, breaking down barriers and opening doors for future generations. Such celebration of diversity, equity and inclusion is at the very heart of Hoteliersguild, and I am excited to see how this wonderful initiative emphasizes those fundamental values.
